DPack 3.6.1 (Beta 1) is available

I’ve just posted new DPack version 3.6.1 beta 1. It’s set to expire at the beginning of March.

The main new feature there is Code Browser support for JavaScript files, that being .js or part of .aspx, .ascx, etc. markup files. I’ve been meaning to add something like that for a while now as it’s also been requested several times in the past. Unfortunately, I had absolutely no desire to write a JavaScript parser. :) Luckily, I didn’t have to. I got in touch with Oleksandr Boiko last year about having core of his JavaScript Parser extension be used by DPack and got his permission to go ahead with that.

As far as integration goes, DPack uses the latest beta version of JavaScript Parser extension v3.6.2. Code Browser provides no extra configuration options: it simply works now against project’s JavaScript files, including .js, .aspx, .ascx, .html, .htm, .asp and .master.

Please email support or post in the forums to provide feedback on this new feature. Please keep in mind that since parsed JavaScript model comes from a 3rd party source there are limits as to how much can be addressed there. I’ll keep an eye on new versions of JavaScript Parser and make sure to include required core part in future DPack updates.
